Video Journalist / Fill-in Anchor

WVLA NBC33 News in Baton Rouge, LA has an immediate opening for an experienced Video Journalist/ fill in anchor. Successful candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced, multi-platform environment.

Candidate will be responsible for shooting, editing, writing, and voicing over stories. Stories will appear both on-line and on-air. Successful candidate should have no less than 3 years experience working at a commercial television station in a medium market. Strong live presence is a must.

THIS IS NOT AN ENTRY LEVEL JOB. Applicant must possess strong written and verbal communication skills and be able to cover news stories, both independently and with senior reporters.

Candidate should be good at enterprising lead stories daily. Must exhibit the highest standards of professionalism and ethics. A bachelor?s degree in Journalism or related field is preferred. Candidate should be familiar with Panasonic P2 Cameras and Sony XD Cameras. Candidate should also be proficient in both Final Cut Pro and Edius editing programs. Previous web experience is a plus.
